Not just becau...Mine is definitely the thrift shop. Not just because they have better deals or better stuff, but because I can go there when it suits me (the one near my home is open 6 days a week), at the moment when I really need to buy something I can't find in the trash. Plus, if it's a larger item you can ask them to set it aside and arrange transportation and pick it up later. This is very common in my city where not everybody owns a car. On top, they have a 'technical' staff that checks electric equipment, so you can be sure it works if you buy something like that. So basically, yeah, that's all convenience reasons.
