It's been quite a while since I last post. I must apologize. I've been so very busy with the family...plus I had a severe case of creative block! Seriously, I just couldn't sit down long enough to get the inspirational juices flowing. I've since forced myself through... Hopefully, I'll have lots to post in the near future...but for now, I will leave you with a pictorial of some of the things I have created or encountered over the past year...
Fall 2010, I traveled to Minnesota to the Junk Bonanza. It was absolutely amazing. My dream/goal is to one day create an event like that here on the east coast... I know it will take time. But, trust, it is a indeed a work in process.
My daughter, the Tomboy Princess, has grown up and become quite the bracelet maker. I've taken her to craft/fleamarket affairs where she has stolen the show.
Because of my creative block...I've been dealing with vintage items...on a really small scale. The economy is bad and folks aren't buying...but they are selling..at great prices. To feel that creative void, I've been curbside shopping...and on occasion, thrifting. Lord knows I don't need anymore stuff...but I'd hate to see it go to the landfills. From time to time, I'll post some items here...or on the Usable Art Blog.
I've been secretly... planning a trip to Paris to go flemarketing. Well this is another one of those dreams/goals... Maybe one day, I can host trips myself.... however, I don't see that happening for a while.
Finally, I have an idea for a TV show and a book... they are in the very beginning stages... quite frankly, I don't even know how to begin... so, I just started writing in my journal.... I will keep you posted here... perhaps may ask questions as I need guidance and or directions.
Oh, I also have something else in the wraps...can't share now... to early.. but I'm so psyched about the possibilities. *fingers crossed*
