E is for Eyeglasses.... Now what to do with them?

I've actually amassed quite a few eye glasses over the years. Yes, many are mine (lol) but others I have rediscovered throughout my travels from one thrift store to another garage sale... down to a rummage sale and back up to freecycle.... Yes my travels have taken me far and wide... but....... It sometimes leaves me at a lost for words and projects.. So what would you do with these eyeglasses?

Being visuals without a vision leaves you in the dark... somebody help me brighten my day... LOL

That Girl,
Ang

Actually, Ang, the Lion's club recycles glasses for the needy. They collected 30,000 for the people of Sri Lanka after the tsunami in 2004. Lots of optometrists/opthamologists collect old glasses for them.

Those eyeglasses are pretty cool and a great "E."

I found your blog, by chance, as tomorrow, on Greensboro Daily Photo, we're featuring a local vintage shop, Thrill of the Hunt. You mentioned the shop in one of your posts. So, tomorrow, on GDP, we're linking to your great comments about thrill of the hunt. It is a small world full of wonderful people!

So gllad I found your site!

loving the eyeglasses!! i have about 20 pairs and sometimes i pull them out and let the kids dress up with them. at one point, i just put them in a big ole ironstone bowl and set them out for display. folks that didn't get it were perplexed as always. keeps people guessing.
if you haven't checked out magpie ethel's blog, do so. she is on my sidebar. she is so creative and wacky in a totally wondeful way!!
oh...they also look great hanging off small vintage purses. as a matter of fact, i may do an entire post on vintage eyewear. why not. you have inspired me!!
take it easy....
